| SCSBA offers a website for Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas breeders and stallion owners with links to farm websites, a sales list of members only horses, calendar of clinics, shows, inspections, and other area events. The website is supported by advertising in national and regional magazines and newsletters and on the internet to build awareness of the quality of young sporthorses available in our area and to provide exposure not readily available or affordable to smaller breeders. | ||
| Educational Opportunities | ||
| SCSBA offers educational opportunities for both breeders and buyers of young horses. SCSBA hosts clinics and seminars on a variety of topics related to breeding and raising youngsters. Topics may include mare management, choosing the right stallion for your mare (conformation analysis), nutritional needs of mares and youngsters, showing in-hand, what to look for in a young horse for each discipline, raising a youngster, etc. | ||

| SCSBA is working with area show managers to create more opportunities to show our youngsters in-hand with the goal of eventually having our own breeders' series with year end awards. | ||
| Membership Levels and Benefits | ||

Full Member (Voting) $100 - Available for breeders in TX, OK, LA, and AR who are actively breeding sporthorses (as defined in the mission statement). Benefits include listing in breeders and membership directories with link to farm homepage and unlimited listings on sales page and stallion directory. Member prices for shows and seminars / clinics / special events. Discounted advertising in newsletter or other publications. Associate Member (Non-Voting) $50 - Available to individuals in TX, OK, LA, and AR who are not currently breeding sporthorses (as defined in the mission statement). Benefits include listing in membership directory with link to homepage and member prices for shows and seminars / clinics / special events. Additional services may be purchased separately. Business Member (Non-Voting) $100 - Trainers who specialize in training young horses or any business not involved in actual breedings such as breeding services, tack stores, feed stores, farriers, veterinarians, boarding facilities, horse transportation, etc. Benefits include listing in membership and business directory with link to homepage and discounted advertising in newsletter or other publications. | ||
